Browser settings for schedule widgets

Browser settings for schedule widgets

Some browsers, depending on your settings, may prevent you from interacting with (or even seeing) the Ubindi schedule widget on your teachers website. If you are having trouble signing up for classes or logging in, please try the solution below. It's an easy one-time fix!

Safari

By default, Safari prevents cookies from tracking you across different websites you visit. This is meant to protect your privacy, a good thing. However, it also prevents access to the Ubindi schedule widget (because it won't allow you to log in to Ubindi from your teacher's website). You will have to turn off the "Prevent cross-site tracking" setting to log in and register for classes on their schedule widget. Here's how:

Safari for Mac (desktops and laptops)

1. Click the "Safari" menu and choose "Preferences"

2. Then select the "Privacy tab", and untick "Prevent cross-site tracking" (it will be ticked by default)

Refresh the schedule widget page, and it will work now.

Safari for mobiles, iPads, or tablets

1. Go to Settings

2. Scroll down the list and click on Safari

3. Under Privacy & Security, toggle off 'Prevent Cross-Site Tracking' (it will be green by default)

Refresh the schedule widget page, and it will work now.

Brave browser

The Brave browser is so strict that it won't even show you the schedule widget unless you turn shields down in your settings. Like so:

Any and all pop-up blockers

If you have a pop-up blocker, please allow Ubindi through. We're not doing anything sinister here, we just want to allow you to log in, and let you register for class. There are too many different pop-up blockers to add screenshots for all of them. If you're not sure how to allow Ubindi content on your pop-up blocker, please let us know and we'll do our best to find the solution for you!
